I started playing with silver a number of years ago after taking lessons from a very talented silversmith in upstate New York. I then traveled two and a half hours each way once a week for a five week class in Kingston , Ontario. I set up a small studio and began to play and experiment with torches and hammers and bezels and setting stones. After retiring from years of owning and running a horse farm in northern New York I decided to pursue my passion for creativity by traveling to Ghost Ranch in New Mexico for an intensive silversmith and inlay course. This experience was life changing, and I came back to northern New York and expanded the studio and went to work. I returned to Ghost Ranch for a second class in 2016. I also have been able to spend time in Tucson for several winters, and have joined the Old Pueblo Lapidary Club. There I am learning new techniques from numerous talented artists.
Perhaps my passion began long ago, following some genetic seed. My grandmother, Belle Morrow, was a gifted silversmith who created magnificent pieces back in the mid nineteen hundreds. She worked with silver and turquoise, as well as gold, and was a talented chain maker. I have a few of her tools that were saved, and use them in my studio.
The work I do is time and labor intensive and I do not mass produce, therefore I do not have a sale page on the website. You can contact me if you are looking for something in particular, or want to commission something with a particular stone.
